Unreal Engine Shooter Game
Context
Challenge
A classic FPS shooter game needed to investigate the possibilities of reduced file sizes of sounds and AI integration to streamline their game construction, without loosing quality and realism.
Research
It was essential to attempt creating all audio assets synthetically to learn if one virtual instrument could achieve an efficient sound implementation. In addition, all sounds had to perfectly match the user actions made in the game.
Solution
We discovered that a synthesiser with a wide range sound capabilities was a necessary tool to achieve the desired outcome. Ambiences and SFX were created with the virtual synthesiser Serum to achieve the desired outcome.
